Here is one on the talk the Major Archbishop of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church gave, published at B.C. Catholic.
Here is the other, about a motion passed in the House of Commons to honor a hero of the Second World War, Metropolitan Andrei Sheptytsky, at The Catholic Register.
Here's an excerpt of a post from Foolishness to the World, my other blog:

Yesterday and today I spent time with a delegation of religious leaders from Ukraine, brought to Canada by the Ukrainian Jewish Encounter. Yesterday the representatives of Christian, Jewish and Muslim religions visited Parliament Hill, sat in for Question Period and watched as the House of Commons unanimously passed a motion praising Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky, the leader of the largest faith group in Ukraine, who sheltered Jews during the Nazi occupation of World War II.
Sheptytsky has been the focal point for the religious leaders who have formed a Council that the chief rabbi of Kiev says is the most powerful NGO in the country.
Today, at the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Institute of Christian Studies, I attended a symposium on the great religious leader and heard several talks, among them one by His Beatitude Sviastoslav Shevchuk, Sheptytsky’s who now fills the leadership role Sheptytsky held as primate of the Ukrainian Greek Catholics. It was wonderful to meet him.
