LOL Father Z!

He found a site that has archived music from the folk masses brought in by the Second Vatican Council reforms.

LOL!  He's very funny. Though perhaps not everyone gets his sense of humor.

That’s right! You older folks can now re-live the days of the first “Folk Masses”, the so-called “Hootenanny Masses” referred to in liturgical writings of the day.
You younger folks can learn what all the fuss was about.
It’s like having a peep at road-kill. Fascinating and dreadful, and not in a good way.
Here is a sample from 1966, the ineffable Ray Repp’s “To Be Alive”.

Reason #35 for Summorum Pontificum.

There's more.  Heh heh heh.

For worship, I prefer hymns with deep theological significance that go with the readings of the day.  And I can't stand the fact that the Catholic Book of Worship changed the words to Good Christian Men Rejoice.

How dare the inclusive language police mess with a beautiful hymn like that.  What did they do to God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, I wonder?

But, outside the context of the Mass, I love simple praise music from my evangelical days.
